How does the Ilusion Subdomain Inbox receive client credentials?
Instead of asking clients to send database passwords or API keys over insecure chats or emails, you can share your personal secure subdomain link (e.g., https://yourname.ilusion.io). Senders can open this page, drag files, write passwords, and drop them. Senders do not need an account, and all data is encrypted in their browser before reaching your dashboard.
How do I set up and share my personal secure inbox portal?
Setting up your personal upload portal takes just a few steps:
1. Log in to your Ilusion account and open the dashboard.
2. Navigate to "Developer Settings" or the "Profile" view.
3. Register a unique subdomain prefix (e.g., acme-support).
4. Copy the portal address https://acme-support.ilusion.io and share it with your clients, teammates, or contractors.
How do I access and decrypt dropped secrets in my dashboard?
Whenever someone drops a secret into your inbox:
1. You receive an instant update in the "Inbox" tab of your dashboard.
2. You will see the sender's IP address, the timestamp, and the expiration status.
3. Click the "Reveal" button. This retrieves the ciphertext, decrypts it locally inside your browser, and downloads any associated files.
4. The moment you decrypt the drop, the database record is completely purged from the server.
